Moms matter.

Maternal Mental Health Matters.

One in five women will develop a Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) during pregnancy or in the first 12 months after childbirth.

PMADs are super common, yet many women are afraid to talk about how bad they’re feeling or they don’t know how to get needed help and support.

PMADs pose significant risks not only to the mom, but also to the baby’s development and the family’s wellbeing.

The good news is PMADs are totally treatable. There are effective and well-researched treatment options available to help women recover. With the right care and support you will get through this difficult time and feel better.

Education and screenings are essential for prevention and effective treatment.

If you know a new mom, ask her how she’s really feeling and encourage her to seek help if needed.
